Our client is a multinational manufacturer of specialized components and parts for the automotive industry. In order to help reach their targets and strengthen their team, we are seeking a colleague for the following position into their R&D Centre:
SYSTEM ENGINEER (SYSTEM & SPECIAL SUPPORT, ENGLISH)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review customer specifications and document requirements in Polarion or in similar requirement handling SW.
- Review requirements and determine if they are sufficient and contain the necessary information required to complete a design concept and/or respond to a customer request for quotation. Where information is not sufficient notify the responsible product engineer.
- Identify for product development hardware and software requirements and further identify requirement attributes which apply to ISO 26262.
- Support Chief Engineers and their development team along with Validation and Test Engineers with validation test strategies which ensure that defined test cases sufficiently cover the projects documented requirements.
- Work with the product development team on the creation of safety concepts and safety analyses including FTA, FMEDA, CCA and Interface Analysis.
- Preparation of requirements for external development partners and support the discussion and resolution of open issues with the development partners.
- Work in teams and independently to communicate development status and results to the product team and management.
- Interfaces with customer accounts as necessary and works with the plant to successfully launch new products.
- Maintain compliance to current IATF16949 and ISO26262 standards and customer specific requirements as applicable
- Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with High Performance teams, continuous improvement goals, and values of the Automotive Division.
REQUIREMENTS
- Electrical engineer, Mechatronics engineer, and experience
- Knowledge in Polarion or other management tools (for example Doors, etc.)
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard
- Strong communicative English language skills
- Experience in processing and interpreting customer requirements
- Knowledge in automotive standards and experience gained in the automotive industry
